Smaller than its predecessors and fits under standard physician office laboratory cabinets. The system utilizes impedance resistance to measure human cells while incorporating the patented von Behrens plate to virtually eliminate coincidence counts from each sample.

Abbott Cell Dyn® 3500 CS
(Closed system) and SL (Sample Loader) models hematology analyzer employs dual technologies to provide the basis for a five-part WBC differential. Multi-Angle Polarized Scatter Separation (M.A.P.S.S.) provides the primary white blood cell count, all differential information, and reticulocyte analysis, while impedence provides additional information in the presence of fragile lymphocytes and hypotonically resistant RBCs.

The CD3700 is a 90 sample per hour multi-parameter, automated hematology analyzer designed for in vitro diagnostic use in clinical laboratories. It offers advanced diagnostic capability for medium to high volume clinical laboratories. The instrument performs simultaneous optical and impedance measurements on White Blood Cells to accurately enumerate and differentiate cells as well as provide internal validation of the WBC count. Both Red Blood Cell and Platelet analysis is performed using impedance technology.
